On this page, we tell you what options you have regarding amendments to be made to your lease agreement in the middle of the lease period subject to the agreement.

The assignment of a lease agreement under another company’s name may become topical, for example, in connection with a business transaction, the termination of a business or re-assessment of the need for an asset. As a lessee, you will be responsible for acquiring a new assignee, i.e. a new lessee. The assignment of an agreement to a new lessee requires a favourable credit decision from Tukirahoitus Oy. In the assignment of an agreement, the assignee undertakes the liability for the remaining lease payments and for the compliance with the lease agreement and the related agreement terms and conditions.
Upon assigning your agreement, your lease payments must be up to date. The assignment can be executed as of the next unpaid, unmatured instalment. Please note that the assignment of an agreement may take several weeks, depending on the case.
The person signing the agreement must be registered as authorised to sign on behalf of the company in the Trade Register. The assignment of the agreement is subject to the fee set in our tariff.

• Print out the form and fill in all the sections on the application carefully.
• Send the application to us. The lessee, not the assignee, must return the assignment order.

A fixed-term lease period specified in advance is typical of lease financing. However, leases may be repaid in full prematurely in exceptional cases.

Changes to your repayment schedule
You have agreed on the repayment schedule for your leases upon the concluding of the lease agreement.
In exceptional cases, we can agree on changes to your repayment schedule during the lease period. The changes may require a new financing decision.
We will charge a fee subject to our tariff for any changes to a repayment schedule.

A lease agreement is a fixed-term agreement which is valid for the lease period agreed on. You may be faced with a situation in which you should think of trading in the leased asset in the middle of the lease period.
At this point, you should contact the vendor of the asset and discuss the trade-in of the asset with them.
This enables you to upgrade the asset to meet the needs of your business without having to wait until the termination of the lease period.
The process is the same for any add-ons: contact the vendor.
